RE: Request for Reaper's Latency screenshots- Please post
Why is it important that the input and output latencies be matched? As far as I remember, that wasn't always the case in XP for the interfaces that I have ran. At some point, I would test for correct latency compensation, write down the settings, and use them when switching sampling rates.

48 khz 1.5ms/1.5ms XP SP3 32 bit Edirol FA101 10 x 10 Firewire Onboard MOBO firewire. I see my list is growing here, seems like I will stick to the synched Drivers listing hardware's So basically my next interface will be one of yours ;o) Looking at the Presonus USB interfaces, seems like they set their USB clock to 1 ms which is why they get lower latencies.

I HAVE DONE IT!!! THE IMPOSSIBLE!! I have now have the synched drivers working in Windows 7. Windows 8 will be a bigger challenge as the system knows and checks system files upon reboot and will revert back files..But this should be a small problem to fix.. I am now running Edirol FA101 synched drivers in Windows 7 so everyone who is running a firewire device that worked in XP as synched but now is not working synched this is the solution ( FA101 ONLY!!, but I believe this is the pattern for all other Firewire Interfaces. notes : -Install edirol Fa101 Drivers for Windows 7 32 bit as normal the power down the interface and leave it off -Deleted all 1394ohci.sys and 1394bus.sys drivers from system from all locations ( use windows search or other tool) -Copied win xp fa101 rrau0001.sys + rrwd0001.sys and overwrite the ones in System32\Drivers -Installed thesycon Firewire Stack drivers then goto device manager on the Thesycon 1394 driver and update and choose "T1394 OHCI TI" instead -Then copy all files from Edirol FA101 XP 32 bit drivers setup to the main FA101 C:\program files installed dir called "RdDrv001" Finally power on the FA101 and enjoy your synched drivers. DonE!!! Once I do a couple more Windows 7 reinstalls I will try to get these steps down to a few as I do not have the right combo steps yet, I believe it could be only 2 steps needed.. Thanks for posting your screenshots and really you guys are the reason I came up with this fix as if you guys did not post your screenshots this investigation would of led nowhere. Thank you all for taking your time and providing your screenshots.

Hm, this must be bad then. Win7 Pro 64 bit, Reaper 4.32/x64 MOTU 828 Mk II Firewire Driver: 4.0.5.5333 fwiw 44.1kHz 24 bit WAV: 14ch/14ch 128spls ~ 3.9/5.9ms ASIO 64spls ~ 2.4/3ms 192spls ~ 5.3/8.8ms 256spls ~ 6.8/11ms 512spls ~ 12/23ms 1024spls ~ 24/46ms To be honest, I don't remember whether or not my interface was synced in XP. I'm not sure how much this info matters as I'm not on 64-bit OS, and I would imagine it's impossible to use the old XP files on my new system anyway.
