YIKES! I have never had this happen. The only time I had a tuning issue was operator error with clocks which you pretty well explained away. Trash your prefs (digi database folders on all your hard drives). Create a new session and start from scratch. Maybe import the audio after you see the new session working fine and see what happens. When you say out of tune, you mean "not the same as when it was recorded"? Try disconnecting the Digimax to see if its clock has gone defective. Hope you get it sorted out.

I checked the signal generator against a strobe tuner and it's spot on regardless of the sampling rate. In all instances, and at all frequencies, the BF essential tuner read 10 cents flat. Is it any surprise that something free doesn't work right? Your work-around is to tune to the 10 cents flat setting. PT LE 7.4cs3

RE: Pro Tools recording out of pitch!?!? NOT A CLOCKING ERROR

Thanks for the responses guys! So, I continued trying to trouble shoot... after a system reboot, including powering everything off for 30 seconds, Pro Tools was recording at the correct pitch again. However, the Bomb Factory tuner, weighted @ 440hz, still reads -10 cents when receiving 440hz @ -20db from the signal generator. I checked this out on my system at work, which is a G5, and the tuner reads correctly!? The next test will be to record the signal generator and see what Auto Tune tells me, cause' I am feeling a little skeptical of the BF Tuner Is it possible that the clock in the Digimax could be dying? Would this cause such an error? Thanks for you help guys!
