passenger side electrical gremlin? 240 gl estate

hi, have a gremlin on my 1989 240 gl estate. it affects the passenger side of the car.it is electrical. the rear brake light has stopped working-new bulb fitted -no luck, also the day running light goes out when headlights are turned on , but works fine when just on day/running lights. checked fuses/leads contacts etc. any ideas out there? thanks in advance.

hi , I had a similar problem and ended up taking the feed for the faulty brake light from the working side as It was wrecking my head trying to figure out the wiring without a good diagram ( got one later). Also I found that checking all the bulbs and cleaning them helped with other odd issues I was having with bulbs. hope this is of some use brendan

Regards the brake light - they are all linked together so it is possible that the wire has come off the lamp unit. The daylight running could be a faulty relay or problems with the earth connection. Mike
